Fighting AIDS, malaria and other diseases. 7. Achieving environmental sustainability. 8. Supporting global development. There are a total of eight Millennium Development Goals that the United Nations set out to achieve by 2015, as established in in September 2000.
In 2005, eight filmmakers were called upon to help spread the message. Each director made a short film about one of those Millennium Development Goals, with complete liberty of expression.
