A boat making its way through the ice creates a meaningful starting point for an intellectual inquiry. Through several interviews with statesmen, economists, and thinkers, the film explores new questions concerning the future we are currently linving, in which a more responsible use of technological progress seems to be needed. Social inequality is steadily growing, and so are the possible solutions – such as the old idea of “working less = work for all” – have philosophical implications which are not easy to solve: are we ready, as a collective society, to slow down the pace that has been defining our lives for centuries?
