FILM INSTALLATIONS
Vivid meditations on the Anthropocene, 13 film installations by Jennifer Baichwal and Nicholas de Pencier convey scale and impact of the phenomenon in a time-based medium. From the world’s longest railway tunnel in Switzerland to Kenya’s historic ivory burn in 2016, to phosphor tailing ponds in Florida and unprecedented coral bleaching in the Great Barrier Reef, Baichwal and de Pencier’s installations employ state-of-the-art camera techniques to document the evidence and experience of human planetary domination.
