EVEREST GREEN
by Jean Michael Jorda, France, 2017, 53’

Behind the majestic views of Everest lies a tragic human and environmental story, which begins at 8848 meters above sea level and ends up in the open-air landfills of Kathmandu, the most polluted city on the planet. The Everest Green ecological expedition has collected more than 5.2 tons of waste, mostly non-biodegradable, between the base camp and the upper camps of Everest, revealing the environmental tragedy of Nepal.
