by Matthieu Rytz, Canada, 2018, 77’
The State of Kiribati, an archipelago of the Central Pacific, is in danger of being swallowed up by the waters of the sea, which are gradually rising as a result of climate change. Anote Tong, the president of the island, struggles to find solutions, even investigating the possibility of building underwater cities. At the same time Sermary, a young mother, has to decide whether to migrate to New Zealand.
