A JOURNEY TO THE FUMIGATED TOWNS
by Fernando E. Solanas, Argentina, 2018, 97’

A chronicle of the devastating effects of agrobusiness in its homeland, the work by veteran documentary filmmaker Fernando E. Solanas delivers a militant cri de coeur against pesticides and other harmful farming methods that have been used in Argentina for several decades, often with government collusion. Shot in a multitude of locations across the country, from villages replaced by soybean plantations to maternity wards treating malformed children poisoned by agrochemicals, A Journey to Fumigated Towns offers ample proof that industrial farming is the wrong way to live on this land or any land.
